Memories of My Melancholy Whores
It is the moment when a lover covers your lips with the delicate touch of their fingers, muting words. Their whispered touch saying, Let me have this moment!

Red, Black and Blue
The thick brush slid along her jaw line, a fragile nervous face disappearing under geisha white. Subtle contours and familiar shadows melted into a blank canvas awaiting transformation.

Goodbye My Lover
We were parked outside the field where as children I weaved tales of being the woman I am now. Sitting on the roof of her car with Prince's "Scandalous" blasting out the open windows, we starred into the hazy dark blue sky. I marveled how the city lights never let us know the black ocean of scattered jewels.

Abelard and Heloise
In her refusal to marry, Heloise was not attempting to protect her own freedom. She loved purely and fiercely, her concerns revolved around Abelard. He was a gift to the world, and it would be a crime to horde him for herself. She did not want the security of marriage, but the wild freedom of love so that he might continue to flourish as an individual.

Abelard and Heloise
Banished from the house, Abelard and his young love were forced to communicate in secret. Raised a Catholic, and with a natural taste for older men that the world deemed forbidden to me, intrigues were an active part of my life. I am all too familiar with the hawk-eyed vigilance of male guardians, and the art of stealing away.

Abelard and Heloise
Are all brilliant men oozing with talent prey to arrogance? Like my dearest Ovid, Abelard was conceited and disdainful. Yet, I can't deny I would have been amongst the throng of people who rushed out to see Abelard pass through the streets of Paris, swooning at his passionate words, and blazing with the desire to feel his hands explore my flesh.. <Read More>

Fiction by Summerhill: A Day In the Country
Lauren was feeling terribly nervous about the little game they were about to play and what his eyes might say at first glance. Out of nervousness, once or twice, she tried peeking into the garden, but it was impossible to see through the emerald leaves. Returning to problem at hand, she slid on a tiny pair of white cotton panties and wondered, as she placed a silk stocking on each leg, "What use is this bit of underwear in a game of croquet, “Sexual Favors Croquet,” as he called it?" <Read More>

There seems to be a lot going on in Toronto! I managed to put together a great list of June events, including a visit from Lenard Cohen at the Winter Garden Theatre and Cinematheque Ontario, but there will be more added shortly.
Six additions have been made to the Arts and Culture listings, including one of my favourite spots - The Toronto Sculpture Garden.
I have also added the Winter Garden Theatre to the Theatre listings.
