In 1912 the deep Alaskan wilderness was shaken by the biggest vulcanic eruption in the 20th century, ashes reaching Seattle, Washington and Africa. This created the Valley of 10 Thousand Smokes: a 40 square mile vulcanic valley holding 100 - 700 ft of ash. Nature's fury unleashed.
